PB Products Hollow Braided Line 0.28mm (25lb) 450m Splicable Camo Weed

This unique main line is composed of 16 intertwined threads (Yarn) creating a Hollow core. Because of this core it is possible to Hollow splicing. This means that you can connect the line knotless with an unleaded leader like the Silkray 45lb or snag leader like the Hollow Kevlar 80lb from PB Products. Even both is possible because Silkray and Hollow Kevlar can also be tied knotless. The knotless connection of the leader/snagleader allows the well-known PB Products Hit&Run system to work even better (safer). A knotless connection to the leader/snagleaders always remains a vulnerable point for the functioning of this system. On a line, algae particles can settle in the water and roll up to the knot, creating a thickening. Thus, in theory, the knot with the thickening could no longer fit through the central hole of the system. This is why this Hollow spliceable line is truly revolutionary because the algae particles now have nowhere to settle. Without those thickenings, the Hit&Run system (inline or swivel) continues to do its job optimally. Throwing in the line is also optimized without knots, because knots in a line always slow down.

By playing with the composition of the 16 threads (Yarn), PB Products also gave the line exactly the character and specific gravity (1.4) they had in mind. The added PTFE threads (Teflon) have the function of achieving that specific gravity. With the specific gravity of 1.4, heavier than water, Hollow sinks extremely well. The rest are PE threads and they maintain the tensile strength.

Tip: If you have some Hollow left over after spooling, you can tie great rigs with it. By splicing in a loop you can create ideal multi-rigs without a knot. Any other rig can be tied as well because this material is soft, supple, sinking and can be spliced.
