Banksticks are in most cases needed to make a complete rod support. In all kinds of variations, you can combine the bankstick with bite detectors or alarms, backstops and buzzer bars. The possibilities with banksticks really are vast. Banksticks can also be used to attach a motion detector, a net or a camera. A bankstick is nothing more than a simple support/shank with a screw thread so that you can attach other parts to it.
Banksticks are usually made of many different materials. Aluminium banksticks and stainless steel banksticks are the most popular. A stainless steel bankstick cannot rust, which is of course handy as it will often be used in situations where it gets wet. A stainless steel bankstick is slightly heavier than the aluminium variant, but it is very solid. Banksticks come in different colours: black, green and the 'stainless steel silver look' are very popular. Because of these colours you can always compose a set that fits together. A bankstick is always equipped with a universal thread. This means that the bankstick can be used with all other parts we sell, the thread always fits.
Almost all major angling brands on the market have banksticks of some kind in their range. Carp anglers especially use banksticks a lot for their static fishing. That is why carp brands put a lot of effort and time into the development of their banksticks. A good example of this is the bankstick stabiliser, which prevents the bankstick from rotating in the ground while fishing, causing the rods to be skewed. Brands such as Fox, JRC and Ultimate are brands that are known for their high-quality banksticks. Combine these items with their other matching items and your set-up on the waterfront will look great and perform excellently.
