Whether you fish for carp using a rod pod or separate banksticks, you often use buzz bars to attach your bite indicators and backstops. A buzz bar or buzzer bar is ideal for this as it ensures your set is always balanced and the space between the rods is the same throughout. Buzzer bars are available for two, three or four rods. Buzzer bars have a threaded connection at the bottom so that the buzzer bar fits on a bank stick or rod pod. On top of the buzzer bar there are two, three or four threaded connections so that you can screw on your bite detectors and back supports. The thread of all the parts (banksticks, rodpods, rear supports and bite indicators) is universal, which means that all parts always fit together. Therefore, you do not necessarily have to choose parts from the same brand.
In the UK, people generally fish for carp with two or three rods. The most popular buzzer bars are therefore in the three-rod version. These allow you to fish with three rods at the same time, but the set-up is also neat when you fish with two rods. The rods are then more or less on both sides of the buzzer bar. The four-rod buzzer bars are mainly interesting for anglers abroad, or for example anglers who both fish with two rods from the same rodpod. In some cases, you have little space on your peg and this can be invaluable.
Your bank sticks, buzzer bars and the parts that you screw on, you want to store and transport neatly. A buzzer bar bag is ideal for this purpose. These fishing bags are compact and exactly the right size to transport these parts. The bags are lined and prevent damage to your valuable buzzer bars. There is a separate compartment for each item and often the buzzer bars are secured with a strap, so that they stay neatly in place. This way, your precious material stays in top condition.
