Fishing with a jighead is usually done with a shad or twister. Cast your bait and let it sink to the bottom on a tight line. Tap the bait off the bottom and then let it sink again on a tight line. The bites usually come when sinking, especially from zander!
You can also just gently retrieve a shad or twister or fish it with jerks. Perch will pop on it all too often with this technique!
